Cabinet Hardware Jig

This jig is strongly inspired by the jig of the well known blue colored jig brand. Although they have the same properties, they are not compatible.

This jig has built-in measuring scales and a adjustable edge guide for easy positioning.

• 19 mm - 111 mm edge guide to hole center spacing
• center, 64 mm, 96 mm and 128 mm drill spacing guide
• 2 Drill guides for use with a 4.5 mm drill bit

Parts

For building this jig you need:

• 1 x Jig base
• 1 x Edge guide
• 2 x Drill guides with knurled nuts
• 2 x T-knobs
• 2 x Hexagon bolts M6x20mm
• 2 x Inserts M6x10mm, brass
• 2 x Hardened drill bush 4.5mmx8, DIN179A

Print instructions

This is a multi color print. Change the filament when printing the measuring scale on the back of the tool or use the print file enclosed.

I printed the jig with and without support and the results are nearly the same with a slightly better result on the angled front face when printed with support.

Print the jig upside down on the bed on a textured steel sheet for best results.

Print settings

Layer height: Jig 0.15 mm and other parts 0.2 mm

Infill: Jig 50% and other parts 30%

Select ‘Detect thin walls’ in the print settings of your slicer.
