Description
In my setup, I have a shelf above my table. I couldn't fit AMS lite on it using the original stand and didn't want to waste space on the table - another Bambu A1 is coming so I had to design something so both can fit onto the table.
I figured I may upload this here and someone can use it too.
IMPORTANT: I designed this part without taking into account any clearance → you will need to use contour compensation if you don't have a perfectly dialed-in 3d printer!
There is no need to balance the filament spools as the stand is screwed into the shelf.
My shelf thickness is 5cm and there is 42,5 cm from the table to the bottom of the shelf. The mount was stable and could be positioned around and not fall with the AMS mounted.
I used a few m4x35mm bolts to keep the halves together. m4x30 will fit too.
I used 4 walls and 10% infill. you can use original screws to fix the AMS body, I used some universal screws to mount it onto the shelf. Both parts can be printed at the same time on the P1/X1 series, on the Bambu mini you will need to print them separately
This setup doesn't limit the movement of the printer in any way.
The shorter bowden PTFE tubes were a little too short for such a setup, 12 cm extra length is perfect. I extended one of the shorter tubes and replaced the other with a longer one. The longer tubes didn't need any modification.
The white one in the photos was a prototype that had a little collision with the body, it is fixed in the light gray version. It feels really secure but I added cable ties anyway.
I included versions that may be easier for you to fit onto other shelves.
