Center Marking Gauge - Geared

Geared center marking gauge for marking the center line on workpieces from 0 to 6.5 inches (165mm) thick.

The centered notches allow for marking to the edges of your workpiece or use the hole in the center.  Just twist the handle to the sides and…uh. it's really kind of self-explanatory. 

Everything fits very tight, so you may want to make adjustments with the included step files or play with your horizontal expansion.

Assembly

1. Place the racks into the “Case Bottom” and bring them to the very center, pinching them together.
2. Insert the gear in between them. It'll twist slightly but should go in smoothly. 
   This will ensure that the fins are centered.
3. Snap the lid onto the case…This is kind of hard. Give it some oomph. It's not meant to come apart after.
4. The knob should be a nice friction fit on the top side.
