Brackets to securely mount the “Star-Mount flat mount” on the roof of a car / truck and still be able to remove the dish.
- Print in ASA (or ABS / PETG, not PLA)
- Layer height should be something between 0.26mm and 0.32mm
- ≥ 30% infill, 4-5 walls. The top "clamp" should be solid
- Use SIKA (available in black, grey and white) to glue the brackets to the roof.
- There are indentions in the clamp where the original screws of the Starmount are.
Needed material:
- ASA for the print
- 4 x 4 (=16) M6x30 screws. Manually tap the modelled M6 threads, so that the screws sit tight, no Loctite needed. The screws are intentionally long in case of layer delamination.
- SIKA 11FC or 251 to glue the brackets to the roof
Tested with “Star-Mount Flatmount pro with Rj45”, which is 31mm high. The normal “Starmounrt flatmount low profile” has the same height, so it should fit.
