Description
Sometimes I need a “Name Tag”. For a person to wear at a conference etc. But also to name items. Or specially in Christmas time to tag a gift with the name of the intended recipient.
I created a blank, "reasonably small" tag. There are two possibilities to “mount” the tag. Either with a clip or with a small magnet. The needed magnet must be maximally round 20 by 2 mm. A smaller one is also possible. The counter part can be any type of small magnet or even a small metal plate. The magnets I was able to buy at my local hardware store.
You can add the name you want to the tag via Prusa slicer. Just right-click the surface and add "negative" volume" and then “Text”. In the dialog you can enter your text, size it etc.
When you print do not forget to add a color change just above the surface.
Also add some painted supports for the wedge. (see the gcode)
To print the magnet holder be sure you orient it on the surface (the stl is not exactly oriented correctly, because there is a slight slope in the wedge)
The clip must be oriented on its side. Do add some support. I was able to print it without brim, but maybe you need one.
For those who really want to create their own tag I included the Fusion 360 file. To change the text edit.
