Description
My print of EnXLosure_Bottom_BR and EnXLosure_Bottom_BL from plate 2 of the EnXLosure failed at 97%. The parts were incomplete and not damaged. These are quite large parts, so to avoid wasting them, I designed this joiner part so the incomplete parts can still be used. There are a couple of holes on the underside of the part to receive a short M3 bolt (only tighten gently) to hold the joiner in place, but this is optional.
The provided 3mf and stl are for bridging 50mm gap. If your gap is different, load up the provided Fusion 360 file and change the Gap parameter. This is the gap between the closest points of the two parts with the parts in place on the printer or preferably when held together with the pre-drilled acrylic sheet. Orient the part in the same way as the provided 3mf and add the paint-on supports as shown in the photo.
Update: I've also provided a “trim to fit” stl. This should work for any gap 10mm to about 120mm. You can trim each end (with z-cut in PrusaSlicer) equally so the part ends up gap + 40mm long (this allows a 20mm overlap on each end). Use a brim. Use paint-on supports as mentioned above.
