Description

Personally I use it to remember when I changed the water filter last time, but it can be used to “save” any date that you consider important to remember.

The unused plates are stored in the same box under the actual plates, so that you can replace them any time and will not have to search them through all the corners of your house. This thing is more about the neat look and clean reading of the numbers rather than the speed of the date switching, so if you need to change the date every day, you will get tired of it too soon, so better look for some other models with faster and easier date switching  :)

It has universal design: the EU date style DD-MON and the US date style MON-DD can be set in the same holder. Just rotate it upside down any time you want, reinsert the plates and that's it.

I printed it with PETG, you can use any plastic you got used to... Colors are as you prefer.

Months and days plates:

Months can be selected from Numeric (Roman numerals), English and Russian. If you need another language, you can edit the labels in Blender as ordinary text, adjust the plates position to the center of the new text and export as STL. If you see incorrectly adjusted font in the Blender scene, you will have to select Hack-Regular.ttf font manually for all the text labels (included to the package).

Well-adjusted bed leveling and correct Z-gap are required to print the plates with the numbers. Bad bed leveling may result in the plates being too thin and low quality or too thick to get inside the box all together.

Plate height is 0.2 mm and the text height is 0.2 mm. Change color at the second layer. Set layer starting point to left-front to print the "TOL" plate first. This is needed to clean the nozzle and normalize the filament pressure after the filament change, so that all the other plates could be printed perfectly without any defects.

I found that my white PETG is partially transparent and I can see the black numbers that are below the upper plates. If you have the same problem with your white filament, I recommend you to reverse the labels of the unused plates to the bottom when storing them or just use some darker colors to print the plates.

Store the unused plates inside the holder so that not to loose them: 6+6 plates for the numbers and 12 plates for the months in the corresponding slots. The required plates are placed on the top.

Holder:

Print without support if the pattern allows it (line and zigzag in Cura are fine, concentric IS NOT!). Use 30-40% grid infill.

Case:

Print in vertical position. Correct bridge settings are required to print the case. Default Cura bridge settings seem too weird to me. I printed the bridge at 30mm/s and 100% flow and it looks perfect, so if you never printed bridges, first find out what bridge settings show better results with your printer.

Mount:

I did not make any hooks or mounts to preserve the neat look. Eventually, everyone may need a special kind of mount. You may glue a magnet to the back side of the case to mount it to the the fridge or glue a piece of Velcro to mount it to non-metallic places. Or don't glue anything and just put it somewhere :)

Finally:

Upload the photos of your makes if you print them!
