Bottom Cover with TPU Foot for Luke's 3D LED Ring Lamp

Kürzlich habe ich Luke's 3D LED Ring Lamp gedruckt und sie gefällt mir wirklich sehr. Einziger Punkt, der mich gestört hat ist, dass die elektronischen Bauteile meines LED strips auf der Unterseite des Fußes offen zugänglich waren (was mit Kindern ein No-Go ist). Also hab ich kurzerhand einen Deckel entworfen, der das Problem nicht nur löst, sondern sogar noch etwas mehr Platz im Fuß der Lampe schafft. Und weil ich einen etwas sichereren Stand gewährleisten wollte, habe ich zusätzlich noch Fuß entworfen, der in TPU gedruckt und an den Deckel geklebt werden kann. Und weil mir das noch nicht genug war, habe ich im Fuß noch ein klein bisschen Platz gelassen um ein paar Beilagscheiben (oder ähnliche Gewichte) einzukleben, damit das Ganze dann einen etwas tieferen Schwerpunkt bekommt und nicht mehr so leicht umfällt.

Der Deckel kann in PLA oder PETG gedruckt werden

Der Fuß sollte in TPU gedruckt werden (sitzt sehr knapp), kann aber auch in PLA oder PETG gedruckt werden

Zusammenbau:

Verstaue die elektronischen Bauteile des LED-Strips im originalen Fuß soweit möglich und mach ggf. Gebrauch des extra Stauraums, den mein Deckel bietet, dann klebe alles zusammen. Und dann - optional - druck den Fuß in TPU, klebe ein paar Gewichte rein und kleben diesen dann unten an den Deckel. Fertig :)

I recently printed Luke's 3D LED Ring Lamp and like it very much. Only the foot bothered me a bit as the electronics were looking out (with kids that never is an option). So I came up with this model that not only adds a cover for the bottom to it, but also just a little bit more room to shove all that electronics in. And because I wanted a more secure stand for it, I also modeled a foot that can be printed in TPU and attaches to the cover. And if that wouldn't be enough, I also made a little gap for some metal washers (or similar weights) in the TPU foot, so that the whole thing gets a bit more weight and doesnt get knocked over so easily anymore.

Print the cover in PLA or PETG

Print the foot in PLA, PETG or TPU (I suggest TPU, its a tight fit)

Assembly:

Place the electronics inside the original foot and optionally make use of the additional room my bottom cover has, then glue everything together. And - also optional - print the TPU foot, glue in some weights and also glue all of it to the bottom cover. Done :)
