Description
This is a fun and fairly silly mod you can do to your SV07/SV07+. It has a part cooling fan that will currently just be sucking in air from your room and blowing it over the print.
What if instead you took a hit on the cooling performance, and instead sucked air over the print, and blew it straight out your window? This would reduce the amount of VOCs you inhale since the nasty plastic air is blown straight out the window.
Of course, you can also run the part cooling fan the correct way around, and get some EXTREME part cooling, but I wouldn't recommend this - the part cooling fan as it is is more than enough to allow these printers to reach their full potential, and the only reason I could see for doing this would be to potentially allow the fan to spin far more slowly - and therefore be more quiet.
The ducting I used has a diameter of 84.3-82.1mm at its widest points, and a diameter of 68mmish at its narrowest points while the tube is extended. It is sold as a 3 inch diameter duct tube and it fits very nicely in the 3d printed part. The one I bought is sold as a ‘Dundas Jafine FD310E’.
Printing instructions: It will print without supports, lay it down flat on the grate in your slicer. It will print in around 30-40 minutes on the SV07 with 0.3mm layers at its top speed.
Assembly:
If anybody is as crazy as me and decides to do this, I'd love to hear why, and what kind of results you got.
