Description
This pill box is the perfect way to store your daily medications so you never find yourself asking, “Did I take my meds today?” The box features a secure magnetic closure and compact design so you can easily take it with you wherever you go.
There are two versions of the box included: one with a smiley face inlay on the lid and one with a blank lid.
In addition to the printed parts, you will need 6 x 8mm by 2.5mm disc magnets.
Print the parts in the orientation given. You may want support under the hinges, but make sure to choose “supports on build plate only” so the inside of the magnet holes doesn't become filled with support material. You will need to pause the print at two positions in order to insert the magnets into the lid and the body. Make sure they are facing the correct direction. I recommend putting a mark on the magnets with a permanent marker so you know which side is up. Once complete, use a piece of standard 1.75mm filament to assemble the hinge.
To print with the inlay, position both the inlay and body model files in your slicer so that the inlay is perfectly positioned within the relief in the body. Print the inlay first, then without removing it from your print bed (but be sure to remove any skirt that was printed) swap filaments and print the body. Make sure the body does not have support underneath the inlay.
