Description
This was first published in 6 parts at #SCADvent, the OpenSCAD Advent Calendar https://openscad.org/advent-calendar-2023/.
All the SVG images included are Public Domain / CC0 licensed. Most are provided via OpenCliparts, the christmas theme is based on the STLs of https://www.printables.com/model/93356-christmas-decorations converted to SVG. Thanks for everyone providing those designs. Links to the source of all the files are included in the OpenSCAD script.
When running the OpenSCAD script, all the SVGs need to be in a subfolder named as the selected theme.
All the panel 3MF files are prepared for printing 2 layers @ 0.2mm with white or maybe transparent filament and then in some other color on top of that. The lantern in the cover picture uses White Geeetech PLA and Galaxy Black Prusament which gives it a very nice look.
An easy way to assemble the parts is by taping the side panels together. For the default size that needs 7 strips of tape, length 154mm, width about 12mm, optional an 8th strip applied after the panels are slotted in place in the base part.
