#0118 [REPAIR] Dyson Wand Tube Latch <V7 V8 V10 V11 V15>

After a few years of great service, the latch on my Dyson V10 broke off!  The plastic at the hinge point sheared off on both sides.  What to do - of course 3D printing comes to the rescue again!

A couple hours later, I have a 3D printed replacement designed, a functionally exact replica.  I've had to make some changes to the design to make it easier for printing.

NOTES: 

1. The .stp file is also included in case you need to tweak it for another version of Dyson.
2. I only have the Dyson V10, so it's been tested with the V10 only.  However, several online sources show that the wand tube is compatible with V7, V8, V11, and V15 as well 

Printing Recommendations:

1.  Great use of PLA. 
2. A small amount of supports is needed for this model. Use the pictures as guidance or the .3mf file.  Note that it has variable layer thickness enabled - for smoother top surfaces. So if you don't want variable layer thickness, use the .stl provided.
3. Use 2mm brims - recommended.

Assembly Instructions:

1. Reuse the spring that came with the original latch.
2. Exact fitment of the original.
3. Test for fit with the vacuum.
