Solar finder, no supports required

Simple solar finder, print with the large hole pointing up and you don't need support. You need to laser cut a translucent disk of 25 mm diameter and push it into the hole with a couple of drops of glue to act as a projection screen for the sun. I like to print such designs from ABS or any material that resists heat more than PLA, I find during solar observing the telescope gets very hot and PLA will get soft. Fits Synta style finder dovetails, found on most telescopes these days. I make these for my shop but I give the designs away for free for non-commercial use.

The photo is of the old model, the new one has a bigger hole allowing more sunlight in. and does not require a retaining ring to be glued on. Much simpler.
