Easily attach a ball head, camera, or any accessory with a ¼" mount to the side of your monitor post.
Specs
- Monitor Post O/D
- This is designed to fit a monitor post with an outer diameter of 35.5mm.
- This is a typical post size, but it is not “universal” as post size varies by manufacturer.
- Max-Carrying Capacity
- It was tested with 5-ish lbs. I have used the camera setup as pictured for around a year, and it has held just fine. YMMV.
- As you can see in the pictures, I have a strap around the monitor post connected to my camera, so it won't free-fall should the mount break. You may want to do the same.
- Hardware Required
- Back of mount: M4 x 10mm and M4 nut
- Platform: ¼" tripod screw (designed with ¼" x 1" bolts in mind)
- Print Settings
- Mine was printed in Jessie PLA at a .28mm layer height with 30% infill and supports. You can increase the infill for additional stiffness, but there is no visible sag, cracks, or splinters with 5-ish lbs. after one week.
