Sunlu S1 Roller Modification

My Sunlu S1 dryer is mounted on the top frame of a MK3S+ at an angle. Occasionally, the filament roll would bind against the dryer wall and it's heat plate, causing a print failure. The other options available were too flimsy and when I needed to replace the filament, the rollers would always fall out when using the alternative mods.

Print Instructions: Supports as shown in picture. No need for supports where the threads are if your filament is dialed in. 0.4 nozzle works best, although I did print with a .6 nozzle.

Installation: 

1. Peel away a small area of the foam padding (circled in red) 
2. Unscrew two screws holding the metal heat plate (circled in green)
3. Remove the front roller by pulling up. The foam padding may get in the way but just keep pulling, you wont hurt it's feelings…
4. Install the roller guide. If you're having issues lining up the screw holes; press on the heating plate to flex and help align it.
5. Install the rollers, it should snap into place.
6. Install PTFE tubing/connector at a 45 degree angle. Be very careful, its very fragile and may break. I used a deburring tool to help clean the inside of the hole before inserting the PTFE tube.

Filament Recommendation: ASA, ABS, NYLON. I had to print in Nylon, since my PETG deformed due to the heat. It could be my specific PETG though…
