Modular Cabinet Ribbon Holiday Decoration

This cabinet ribbon is the best way to light up your kitchen for the holidays. It take less than a minute to install and changes the whole look of your kitchen. These ribbons grab onto the cabinet at the top and bottom, no tape, glue, or screws required. So there is no worry about damage to your cabinets

Create ribbon that match your personality:

• Mix and match colors for each ribbon
• Add one or more bows onto the ribbon
• Use the ‘'Individual Insert' to attach your custom model to the ribbon
• Size each ribbon to your cabinet, so you never need to throw out any material!

Printing Instruction:

• Only tested with PLA, but it works well
• 15% infill
• For Each Ribbon section I found normal supports printed best, with the pegs facing upwards (as provided in the ‘Ribbon Sections.3mf’ file)
• All other sections and components should be printed with tree supports, only attaching to the build plate (as provided in the ‘Top and Bottom Sections Split By Size.3mf' and ‘Bow.3mf’ files)

There are 3 different depth sizes in case you have deep cabinet doors:

• 20 mm (.79 inch)
• 30 mm (1.18 inch)
• 40 mm (1.57 inch)

Below are the lengths of each ribbon size:

• Small: 1.97 inch (50 mm)
• Medium: 3.94 inch (100 mm)
• Large: 6.93 inch (176 mm)
   
• Top (Top of cabinet to bottom of top section): 2.91 inch (74 mm)
• Bottom (top of connector to bottom of cabinet must be between these two measurements): 
  • Smallest: 4.3 inch (109 mm)
  • Largest: 6.47 inch (164 mm)

Steps to pick pieces for your cabinet size:

All the following measurements are provided above in both inch and mm. For readability, I only used mm below

1. Measure depth of cabinet
   1. Pick the correct depth for the top section and bottom sliding section (options are: 20 mm, 30 mm or 40 mm)
   2. Please note only the bottom sliding section changes with your depth choice, not the bottom section
2. Measure the height of your cabinet
3. Subtract the height of the top section (74 mm)
4. DO THE FOLLOWING TWO STEPS SEPARATELY
   1. Subtract 109 mm from the number you got in step 3, write this number down
   2. Subtract 164 mm from the number you got in step 3, write this number down
5. Pick the ribbon pieces you would like to print. Their total length must be between the numbers you got from step 4a and 4b.
   1. This will allow the bottom sliding section to lock in correctly
6. Print
7. Assemble
8. Attach to cabinet
