Description
I created this to prevent water / mud from flying up onto my back and helmet, and to add some sharpness to the esthetics of the bike.
Bill of Materials:
2 - M4 x 6mm screws
2 - M4 nuts
Attached to this is an assembly pdf. (not updated yet). I found it best to use magnets to keep / guide the nuts into place after the mounts are put on. The printing profile in the 3mf is what I did to keep color changes low, but if you want better quality layers, turn it however suits your needs.
Change log:
2024-12-18: Updated model to only require 2 screws / nuts. Screws are now internal so the outside is smooth (no screws visible on outside). Added STEP files and 3mf.
2024-07-12: Added small strengthening chamfers and fillets to bracket mounts.
2024-07-10: Added new model with no vents.
2024-02-11: Added new contour style.
2024-02-10: Widened screw holes. Extended mount bracket frame side length.
2024-02-09: Fixed artifact in the underside geometry. Thickened connections on mount bracket.
2024-1-2: Rounded vent edges.
2023-12-27: Updated outer-most edge to be thicker to strengthen the sharp tips on each side.
