Description
Update (24/01/24):
Remodel that uses staged holes to fit different sized ampoules more snugly for a cleaner break, and the top has been repurposed for discarding. Keyring hole has been moved so that it sits better on a keyring, and the model also now comes in large and low profile versions to not clutter keychains but the low profile version has less area to grip in usage.
Versions:
- No window - easier print with no long bridge
- Window - long bridge, but allows you to check that the ampoule dot correctly orientated before usage
- Low profile - super slim design to not clutter keychains
- Large - taller design that provides more grip
-------------------
Remix that adds a bottom side dedicated to bigger ampoules (now fits DIN 1 - 20 ml ampoules).
The original design worked well for DIN 1 - 10 ml ampoules but I could not reliably open 20 ml ones cleanly (such as the propofol ampoules widely used in hospitals). The profile has also been slightly slimmed for convenience. The hole for keyrings is retained.
Use by inserting the ampoule through the hole and moving the neck down the hole as it gets narrower until it is snugly gripped. Then bend the print backwards to snap the ampoule neck, and discard the ampoule tip through the window
Available in versions with or without embossed text indicating the side to use for different ampoule sizes
