Blind bumper

Hey team,

A very quick model but a long time in the making, the thought came to me on a particularly windy night :-)

Blinds with aluminum extrusions come in many shapes and in my case they are an oval in shape with flattened edges. I've attached a picture of the profile.

These bumpers do an amazing job of cutting down the noise compared to the previous solution which was some foam with an adhesive backing. They still made a pretty annoying “clang” on really windy days.

With regards to the design I printed them without any gaps for the actual blind to run through and instead opted to simply cut a slit into the model once printed. This also meant I could print the same model for both the left and right side of the blind.

I printed these in clear TPU and they're fairly inconspicuous.
