Description

These are pocket tool holders for common “tire guy” needs when I worked in a shop.  I hated setting down tools that were commonly used, and didn't like putting tools in my pants pockets.

I devised a couple of designed devices to hold firstly, a tire Schrader valve tool which I commonly accessed.  Then I added places for a tire depth tool, white crayon, and a tire pressure gauge.  The tools are designed to stay put even when crawling under a car, so thought was in mind to have it all stay in place.

I used 5.8mm dia. x 12.5mm (¼" x ½") cylindrical rare earth magnets as shown that assist in keeping the valve and tire gauge tool in place.

Printing these parts is very specific as it's best to print the linear FDM lines a certain way for strength.  Use the provided .3mf file and turn on “support enforcers” so that certain places can print properly.
Additionally, the print must be paused (M60 command) at certain places to add the magnets and resume printing.  See the picture and reference the .3mf file.  I did not add these in the .3mf file.

1x Magnet addition at ~15.5mm height
“Valve_Clip_STL_2”

2x Magnet(s) addition at ~27.5mm height
“Valve_Clip_STL_3”

If you require the magnets:

Quite honestly I used magnets I had around from other projects, the design can be altered to other sizes upon request.

The tire tool is the best version out there, in my opinion, as it has a nice grip and more durable material than the freebies  around tire shops.

Tire valve tool:

The tire depth guage is pretty common, and I designed so it would snap into place using the top chrome plunger.  You can use one hand (thumb and forefinger) to remove it, just by pushing the tab to open the clip.

The tire pressure gauge is held in with the magnets, but indirectly; it is offset slightly as to not contact it.  It needs to be ferrous and not a plastic version.

The crayon is a common hexagonal shop crayon for marking tires.  They break somewhat easily but it's nice to have a place for them in your pocket.
