Description
The Eibos Polyphemus is an excellent 3D filament drier that works well and has lots of great features. If used when printing, the one awkward part of the design is the PTFE tubes feed through the top of the lid and the whole transparent cover has to be removed to change and feed filament.
This design includes a riser with angled PTFE feed holes in the back and a frame for the lid which is now independent of the filament feed tubes. Removing the lid gives easy access to the filament spools.
The Eibos screws are re-used to fix the riser to the top of the acrylic walls. 3mm hex bolts are used to fix the lid frame to the top acrylic and handle. The frame is designed for 3mm heat inserts.
The models may need to be split depending on printer bed size.
Printed with PETG, 5 walls for strength. 20 to 50% infill.
