Description
this piece holds several components that enable you to get your machines rpm displayed
I designed this for my metal lathe but you can use it on any machine that you can attach the sensor to. I made it large to be able to mount it with double sided tape to my machine. I may add a smaller version later on as well as a counter part to close it up completely.
Parts you need (links show similar parts to what I bought):
Display with sensor and cabling: “4 Digitaler LED-Drehzahlmesser Drehzahlmesser und Hall-Näherungsschalter-Sensor” https://www.ebay.de/itm/394850686903
Step up converter: “3x XL6009 DC-DC Boost Modul Step Up LM2577 Schaltregler Konverter Arduino” https://www.ebay.de/itm/255283290282
Use simple hot glue to fix the buck converter and the circuit bord to the print. The display will snap into its position.
Wiring diagram can be seen on the display unit. I used a simple 5V USB charging adapter as a power supply that was transformed into the higher voltage for the display. I installed the sensor to my lathe and wired up everything on the printed front panel. Works like a charm. You could even wire it up without the right board.
