Description
If you, like me, own these now old-school plastic bowls from IKEA, you probably let them drift deeper and higher into kitchen cabinets. As a kid, I remember using them every day, the colorful plates for toast, bowls for cereal. Now, they are so old, and I am too, that I rarely use them. Instead I go for newer, ceramic ones. Nobody is afraid I will break them anymore (I am 22).
For some time now, these iconic bowls are slowly being inherited, one-by-one, by our cats and serve them as “nobody-cares-what-happens-to-them” outside feeding bowls.
But clumsy cats kept knocking them over. As luck would have it, most often their dry food ends up falling through a water drainage grill never to be seen again :/ It was a waste, so I decided to make these.
Simple but effective, these bowl holders will screw into wood planks below (you can glue them if you have nothing to screw them in I guess, your choice) and then the bowl conveniently snaps in.
Enjoy.
Printed with PLA, they seem strong enough for the purpose so far. They seem to hold up even in the winter. I have been using them for 2 months now.
