Description
I got a second hand craftsman miter saw but it was missing the bevel lock handle. So i designed one really quick as a replacement as no one else had a model available.
This is a replacement for part #X3T2 specifically for the saw with a part number of 137212360, i've seen that there may be a second handle out there with the same part number, with larger teeth instead of the gear-like mechanism used on this one.
Designed in fusion 360, printed on my direct drive ender 3 in PLA+
I found that using OrcaSlicer resulted in way better more accurate prints that cura during my tests.
I used the v1.9.0 beta release with the “wipe inside before extruding an external perimeter” feature enabled.
precise walls
0.4mm nozzle
0.2 mm layer height
Cubic infill @ 30%
The model has a separate ring to snap over the end to help hold the handle on.
I've attached an image of the gears printed standalone properly meshing with the mechanism as well for those curious.
