A fast printing minimalist magnetic clip that keeps your fine point Sharpie® marker on the fridge, whiteboard, or any magnetic surface, always visible, always within reach. Available in three versions to fit different magnet sizes: 6x2mm, 6x3mm, or 8x2mm.
I use sticky notes and a marker on my kitchen fridge to jot down quick reminders, grocery lists, and notes. But I was constantly losing the marker, it would disappear into the kitchen drawer, buried among cooking utensils, or end up in random places around the house. Every time I needed to write something down, I'd spend time searching for it, or I'd grab a new marker, only to lose that one too.
So, I designed this magnetic clip to keep my marker exactly where I need it, on my fridge. The clip attaches to the end cap of a standard fine point Sharpie® and holds it securely, and allows to stick the marker on any magnetic surface like fridge doors, magnetic whiteboards, microwave oven, filing cabinets, tool chests, or any metal surface where magnets work. It's so minimalist that once clipped on, it's almost invisible unless you're looking directly at it.
No more rummaging through drawers or retracing my steps around the kitchen. Just grab, write, and put it back, simple as that. It's a small solution that makes everyday life just a bit easier.
All magnets are press fit, but if magnets don't stay in slots secured, just use a dab of a super glue.
Do not press the magnets into slots using sharp objects that can slip on the magnet and hurt you.
I used Prusament Galaxy Black PLA for this print, even after almost 2 years of continuous use, the original PLA print is still holding up well. However, I acknowledge that printing it in PETG or another stronger material would be an even better choice to ensure long-term durability.
Takes about 5 minutes to print on Bambu Lab A1 Mini using default 0.28mm Draft profile.
All recommended parameters and settings are saved in the provided .3mf file, but adjust as needed for your setup.
