DELTA RIDGE | Table lamp

Give your space a modern mid-century vibe with this fast-print table lamp!

This is the new version of this lamp, where the shade can now "lock" onto the base. 
Also, the "heavyweight" version of the base integrates my hidden container concept, that you can screw inside the bottom of the base to add weight or hide some valuables.

The shade is made of two thin shells that join at the top and bottom, casting a warm & soft - but still very bright - glow. 
Just an empty shell, no infill = prints very fast.

4 versions of the base: 
The stands can house standard E14 and E27 bulb sockets. 
There is a version of the stand for each type. Also, there is a lightweight base version and a heavyweight base.

• the lightweight base is essentially a thin shell that prints very fast, perfect for prototyping or a photoshoot model.
• the heavyweight base is thicker and comes with a hidden container that you can screw inside the bottom of the base, to hide valuables or add weight by filling it with clay or some gravel.

3D PRINTING SETTINGS All STL files are already oriented properly.

SHADE: 
The shade prints in standard mode, not vase mode, but it needs some particular settings so the shell stays empty and the wall thickness is the same all over. 
Stick to the settings below.

Wall line count: 2 
Top layers: 2 to 3, depending of your slicer (try 3 and see if you get accidental extra wall lines here and there) 
Resolution: 0.2mm / layer or less 
Build adhesion type: 6~8mm brim 
Supports: None 
Infill: None (0%)

For BAMBU STUDIO:

• in Quality settings, disable "only one wall on top surface"
• in Speed settings, disable "ensure vertical shell thickness" or you'll get random extra bits of wall lines inside the shade.

You can add somy fuzzy skin, which helps hide the seam:

• fuzzy skin point distance: 0.8mm
• fuzzy skin thickness: 0.2mm (don't go above or it will make the locking mechanism too tight between the shade and the base)
   

BASE/STAND: 
The base must be printed upside-down, so with the circular face flat on the printing bed. 
Resolution: 0.2mm / layer or less 
Build adhesion type: None 
Supports: None 
Infill: 15%
