This model was first created by Dany Sánchez around 2015 and has now been enhanced with more detail and further optimized for printing.
Alcalá del Júcar is an old little town in southeastern Spain, near the city of Albacete, in Castilla-La Mancha. The town is located on the banks of the Júcar river, that has carved a deep canyon on the surrounding landscape. The castle is on a high point above the town. It is of Almohad origin (North African Berber Muslim), built in the XII and XIII centuries. It later passed to Christian hands after the “Reconquista” and expulsion of moors from Spain.
Its architectural style is Islamic. There are three floors and has a pentagonal fortified tower and two circular little towers. Most of the wall that surrounded the castle have been destroyed over time, but some remains are still visible (from Wikipedia).
MiniWorld3D is happy to bring this model to life as a homage to all the people of Castilla-La Mancha. This model was created from scratch by hand and brain in parametric software to ensure printability, using photographs and blueprints to create a beautiful and stylized version of your favorite landmarks.
