B&K REF 20 volume knob

NOTE:  Imported from Thingiverse without updates…

This is a replacement volume knob for a B&K REF 20 A/V preamplifier. My original was loose and I believed the set screws were striped. As it turns out I just didn't have the right Allen wrench (1/16"). In any case once I had the right wrench I still made the knob, mostly to figure out the inserts for future projects. I used 6/32 threaded inserts and 6/32 set screws. The parts and Allen wrenches are all available from Amazon:

Instructions

I printed with a .2 mm layer height, 30% fill, normal shells, and standard speed. After the knob was built I screwed in the insert. I'm sure it would go in easier with the knob on the heated print bed but I didn't try this since it could end up damaging the print bed glass. After the insert is installed, it's as easy as putting in the set screw and installing on the receiver.
