Description

This is a kit for converting the Chinese vegetable dehydrator KITFORT-1917 (also known as Wartmann WM-2006 DH and may be smth else) into a filament dryer. It dries up to 90 degrees, heats up quickly, and can print with two (optimal) or even three filament spools.

Materials needed:

  1. 8 bearings 608-2RS (size - 8x22x7)
  2. 8mm x 86mm aluminum tube (threaded rod will also work).
  3. 3M tape (any tape will do, but it's better if it can withstand temperatures up to 100 degrees).
  4. Good to have 2xPC4-M5 fittings to connect PTFE tubes.

Assembly:

  1. Print the parts as shown in the image using heat-resistant plastic such as ABS or ASA. No supports are needed.
  2. Unscrew the two front legs, remove the grid fastening, and take out the grids.
  3. Lay the dehydrator on its side so that the door opens downward.
  4. Screw the two printed extended legs and the front high fastening into the existing holes from the grids (the letter L on the part should be on the left).
  5. At a distance of 9 cm from the front fastening, attach the rear low fastening with double-sided tape.
  6. Install two plastic filament spool holders on the upper panel, or better use 2xPC4-M5 instead.
  7. Stick the rear two legs with tape.
  8. Install 4 tubes with bearings.

Optional:
 

     9.  Print and install top tray that can be used to dry silica gel containers/bags. Back side can be inserted into dryer fence, top side must be screwed into two drilled holes.
