who doesn't know it... Christmas is over, the stomach is full, the new year is welcomed, and the annual and somewhat dreaded ritual of taking down the Christmas tree decorations must be carried out. A special highlight for me is the yearly desperate task of removing the fairy lights from the tree without any knots and storing them in a way that ensures they can be retrieved undamaged for the coming year.

Since I couldn't find a suitable model for longer chains (approximately 15m), I quickly designed one myself. Depending on how well your printer is calibrated or the material you use, the overhangs for holding the bars may be a bit tight. Simply warm up the holders a bit, and it will fit for sure.

The bracket assembles itself. Just pull the middle of the chain over the round end of the lower bracket and then wind it up. The whole thing is secured by inserting the plug into the notch on the upper part.

wer kennt es nicht… Weihnachten ist vorbei, der Bauch ist gefüllt, das neue Jahr begrüßt, und das alljährliche und ungeliebte Ritual des Weihnachtsbaum-Abschmückens muss vollzogen werden. Ein besonderes Highlight für mich ist der alljährlich verzweifelte Akt, die Lichterkette vom Baum knotenfrei zu entfernen und so zu lagern, dass man sie im nächsten Jahr ebenso unversehrt wieder entnehmen kann.

Da ich leider kein passendes Modell für längere Ketten (ca. 15 m) finden konnte, habe ich schnell selbst eines entworfen. Je nachdem, wie gut dein Drucker kalibriert ist oder welches Material du verwendest, können die Überhänge zur Aufnahme der Stäbe etwas straff sein. Erwärme die Aufnahmen einfach ein wenig, dann passt es auf jeden Fall.

Die Halterung spannt sich selbst zusammen. Einfach die Mitte der Kette über das runde Ende der unteren Halterung ziehen und dann aufwickeln. Fixiert wird das Ganze dadurch, dass man den Stecker in der Kerbe am Oberteil klemmt.
