Brought to you by Magic Aerials, the provided 3D printed parts are lightweight TPU inserts designed for the Pavo20 drone's front quadtriangular section. These inserts offer several benefits:
- A clear camera view without visible propellers, eliminating the need for FOV cropping in post-stabilization and allowing full use of the DJI O3's "ultra-wide" FOV setting.
- Easier attachment of standard DJI Avata-style ND filters with a wider snap-in design.
- Enhanced vibration damping for the O3 camera, reducing jello effects.
Caution: Mounting the O3 camera at the front increases its vulnerability during frontal impacts, particularly when upside down. Consider additional camera protection, such as a separate 3D print.
Assembly Instructions:
- Print one left and one right insert in TPU. These do not require support structures.
- Install each insert into the Pavo20's front quadtriangular area (they snap right in)
- For securing the camera, use the original DJI O3 M2 screws, not the ones provided with the Pavo20. The original M2 screws are longer and necessary to accommodate the TPU inserts.
- Adjust the camera tilt. The foremost holes give an exact 15° tilt, keeping propellers out of native ultra-wide and wide footage. The camera's tilt can be adjusted from 5° to 30°. Maintain a tilt above 15° to ensure propellers remain out of view.
