Description

Works fine with and without internal light. If you want to make it glow, you'll need a bulb for e10 sockets. I'd highly recommend using the 6v led types but incandescent ones work fine too. Make sure they are not rated higher than 6v though. If you want to use your own light with special requirements, you'll find the socket as .step for you to modify

You are going to need superglue in order to put the spikes to the body

Printing
Print all parts in the given orientation with a layer hight of 0.2mm. Even if you have no translucent filament at hand, the spikes will shine through. Just print them in vase mode. PLA and also PETG work well

The SocketSleeve has to be printed standing on its smal tip with a prim enabled.

For the body, paint on some support only on the lower side. The air printing works fine and it does no harm if some strings sagg or droop

How to assemble:

Stip some wires and route it trough the sockets base

Twist the wire around it self

Repeat this process with the sockets side

Route both cables through the middle.

If you dont want to hang the star only on the cables, you might route some thin fishing line through the sockets side holes.

Superglue both pieces together

For the battery compartment, string the parts together like you see on the pictures. For illustration purposes, it is shown only with stripped and and twisted wire. You might do it much neater and solder the wires. The rough and dirty version does work fine though.

-NOTE-
do not put glue between the BatteryCase and the BatteryCaseContacts They need to flex in order to hold the batteries firmly. If you have to glue them for some reason, put a drop only on one end.

-NOTE-
The switch does only work if inserted correctly. Make sure the brint bed side of the switch and the print bed side of the BatteryCase face the same direction
