Description
Here I made a holder for the Euclid probe that attaches to the EVA3 prinhead (used mostly on RatRig 3D printers).
The Euclid probe itself is hidden under the shoe-shaped holder. It is screwed in using two 6mm (M2) self-tapping screws.
BEWARE: This holder is designed for the standard airducts for EVA3! If you use the volcano airduct, then you need to additionaly print the Euclid_sole part, that adds 3mm depth. The “sole” is mounted (or glued) inside the “shoe”. Please be aware that you need longer self-tapping screws when using the sole!
I have used the Euclid park part for the V-Core 3.1 designed by @RPK3D, available here: https://www.printables.com/model/302208-ratrig-v-core-31-euclid-mount Since I (minimally!) changed that great model to further improve some esthetic aspects, I upload it also here, since it works great as a package for VCore3.1. Nevertheless, if you choose to do so, please like the original model as well ;)
My setup uses the EVA3 regular (not volcano!) airduct, so I do not use the "sole". Thus, my settings in the printer.cfg file are:
# Euclid macros variable_stowable_probe_position_preflight: [ 27, 30 ] variable_stowable_probe_position_side: [ 27, 0 ] variable_stowable_probe_position_dock: [ 7, 0 ] variable_stowable_probe_position_exit: [ 7, 30 ] |
Please use these carefully, due to your possibly different X/Y endstop positions they might not work for you out of the box. Please read carefully the RatOS documentationa available here: https://os.ratrig.com/docs/guides/stowable-probes
Print in the orientation indicated in hte pics and you won't need supports.
I'm not gonna ask for a coffee, but please make sure you give me a like if you find this model useful.
