Tea Caddy Ultimate

We like a lot of varieties of loose teas, but the normal tea containers clutter up the countertop. This organizer can be placed underneath a kitchen cabinet to better organize your great collection of loose teas. 

Features

1. Modular design, can be expanded from 1 container to infinity using various combinations of the support bar(s) (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) depending upon your build volume and cabinet space
2. Two sizes of tea containers, standard and 2X, to handle your volume needs
3. Each tea container has a removable cap to provide air tight containment
4. Tea containers are held in place by modular ‘frames’ that have interlocking tabs
5. Each container has a label plate for tea names
6. An additional end trim for holding measuring spoon is included
7. Attached .3mf files have placement and enforced supports already configured

I printed all parts using either Prusament or Polymaker PETG on a POXL-2H using input shaper at .32 speed. In fact, as you can see in the included photos, I spliced filament spool ends from four different vendors (all PETG) and printed a multicolored container…no problems! The XL is a great printer. No screws or glue are required for assembly and installation.

Note that many cabinets have a 20mm inset underneath the cabinet. For these types of cabinets I included 3 different lengths of support spacers. 

Assembly is fairly straightforward

1. Decide how many tea containers you need or the space limitations you have
2. Each frame is 90mm wide, so 5 frames = 450mm
3. For a 5 frame installation, if. your print bed is large enough you can print either the 450mm rail or a 270mm + 180mm. Or, a 360mm and 90mm.
4. Join the frames together using the interlocking tabs (be sure to file off support leftovers as the fits are snug)
5. Slide the rail onto the tops of the frames using the interlocking tab
6. If you're using multiple rails, there is a ‘splicer’ tab included
7. At the end of each rail assembly slide on an end attachment tab
8. There are 2 ‘trim’ pieces, that cover the left/right exposed interlock tabs to tidy up the installation
9. When it's all together, use 2 appropriately sized screws to attach the rail (with spacers if needed) to the cabinet bottom. Most cabinet bottoms are 15mm to 20mm, so use care that you don't use too large a screw that goes completely through the cabinet bottom.
