I designed my own Einsy case based loosely on the the “Embiggened” design by Martin_au, but made several changes/improvements:
- Reduced wall thickness results in improved print time
- Design optimized for a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.4mm layer height
- Fully parametric FreeCad design: various properties (wall thickness, hole sizes, etc.) can be adjusted
- No supports required
- Hingeless design: side access panel is held securely to the frame using hinge screws, but can be easily removed
- M3 x 4mm heat-set inserts for screws that need to be easily removed
- Self-tapping holes for infrequently used screws (such as the ones holding the Einsy board in place)
- No frame disassembly required
This design is the result of “a few” iterations (see final image).
I recommend using my T-slot nut to attach the “brace” to the lower part of the frame.
