Valentine1 Gen 2 low profile car mount

This is a semi-permanent mount for a Valentine1 Gen 2 radar detector that uses the factory mount without the suction cups. you will need to melt in threaded inserts into the 2x 6.3mm holes that are 7.9mm deep. I'm not sure if I used m6 or m5 threaded inserts.

You will need to remove the suction cups from the factory mount and add the correct size m screws with washers. The pointy side of the wedge points toward your cars hood. 

The angle is designed to make the detector level with the ground, and its highly dependent on windshield rake. This is mounted high up on my 2019 VW Arteon, a car. If you have a SUV or truck the detector will point too far down and it greatly reduce range. 

The mount is attached with Scotch Bright red mounting tape and the print should be printed with PETG or other high heat resist tape. Be warned depending on your summer climate, this print will melt.
