Description

So I was on the hunt for a long time for a Fan Duct for my Ender 3 Pro that would work with a dual 4020 fans setup, in order to install some silent fans. I did not find anything that I would like and would look nice.

I then designed this fan duct, grabbing ideas from several models and getting a thing on my own.

MAIN FEATURES

  • Cabling paths so all cables are organized and hidden
  • Dual 4020 Fans, including fixings for hotend fan
  • Sleek design
  • Support for BL-Touch/CR-Touch
  • Improved airflow to reduce air noise

I may also prepare a top cover to cover CR-Touch/BL-Touch cable and secure the bowden tube. Still have to think about it.

PRINT SETTINGS

  • Nozzle: 0.4 or 0.6 (I printed with 0.6)
  • Layer Height: 0.20 or 0.3
  • Infill: 20% to 30%
  • Supports: YES (I recommend using tree-supports with touching buildplate only. Be careful to adjust settings so supports do not grow into the duct)
  • Perimeters: 3 or 4 (dependent on nozzle)
  • Material: PLA+/PETG

Side notes:

  • You may also want to add a brim to avoid issues with possible collisions on the initial stages of the print.
  • If you have issues slicing on Cura 5.6.0, just rotate the model by 90 degrees.

ASSEMBLY

REALLY IMPORTANT: You should fit the fan duct as any other, with the only difference being that the top-right screw shall be fitted from the back of the support plate.

You will need:

  • 2x M3x8mm screws - to fix the duct into the support plate
  • 4x M3x25mm screws - for 4020 front fan
  • 2x M3x8mm or M3x12mm - for BL-Touch/CR-Touch mounting
  • 2x M3 Nuts - for BL-Touch/CR-Touch mounting. The space for these is very tight, so you may need a pliers to fit them with some pressure.

OFFSET SETTINGS FOR CR-TOUCH

  • X: -47.8
  • Y: -6.0

Hope you enjoy it.
