Egons Stethoscope

As requested by GB superfan Conor O'Hare (big thanks to him for this project), this is my best attempt to recreate the extra pieces needed to make Egons's Stethoscope from the Library and "Ready to Believe you Scenes in GB1.

What makes this a challenge is that the real prop has never resurfaced and what was used to make it is still unknown. This was recreated using zoomed in blurry screen grabs and off angle press photos as there is no great reference out there and so little of what there is.. As such please understand it is likely a little inaccurate. However I did my best scale it to known items, make everything proportional, adjust for film distortion and carefully recreate seam lines, screw holes, features and accents to the best of my ability.

To make this you will need a stethoscope, the hose barbs are designed to work with a hose (on the stethoscope) with an ID of 4.5mm-5mm and everything will look best with a hose that has an OD of approximately 7.5mm however nothing is set in stone and you can of course recale this to fit your needs. You will also need Nova52 Realistic Fold-Ups headphones to be most accurate, however the Nova 51's and Nova 50's as well as the Infinity Intimate Stereo headphones will work nicely as well with these parts as they have a similar appearance (big thanks the Ghostbuster community especially Alex newborn for tracking down this information and making it known to the rest of us).

This was designed with SLA printing in mind I have even provided you STLs with supports and hollowed parts if you have one, as it will give you cleanest result , FFM may work too but will require some difficult clean up, If money is no object to you the best option is sintering in aluminum..especially the fragile ear pieces as this will give you the best structural integrity if you intent to wear these and not just display them (check out Shapeways, for pricing. I have posted a shapeways example in the photos to give you an idea of the cost you might see for different materials.
