Description
I modeled the sword from the final season of She-ra, the sword needs an aluminium core. You can get these pretty cheap at hardware stores.
Alternate versions of the blade parts are included that have an extra hole (for the 3 pegs), these are meant to make it easier to align the blade parts for glueing together. Since they aren't required, I also uploaded STLs without these extra holes.
I printed everything with 3 walls, the blade parts at 20% infill and the hilt/handle at 50%. Everything in the photo is PLA. I don't plan on whacking anything with it, if you do, you'll probably need a lot more infill.
The hilt was a bit difficult to print due to it's downward pointing spikey part. I included a screenshot of a custom support I used to successfully print it, have a look at it before printing. Use tree supports for the rest of the hilt.
As for the gem, I printed this one upright to avoid the staircasing effect, I recommend printing it like that with supports at slow speed, this helps avoid the edges curling mid print.
Lastly, try and fit the blade base and hilt together before glueing, make sure they comfortably fit together. If it's too tight the blade can't fit all the way down into the hilt, sand the blade part a bit to improve the fit.
