PM-728VT Spindle Encoder Mount

Encoder mount for the Omron E6B2-CWZ1X on the PM-728VT.

Use shaft coupler and encoder mounting screws that come with the encoder.  

Requires 2x 100T  or 60T GT2 Pulleys or equivalent 1:1 ratio that is larger than the spindle top pulley diameter.  

Requires 2x 1/2 x1-1/8 x5/16 inch R8-2RS Double Rubber Sealed Roller Bearings which take the load from the belt tension.  

Requires lathe work to make the shaft for the pulley / bearings and to modify one of the GT2 pulleys to bolt onto the PM728 spindle belt pulley.  A printable drill fixture is included for use with a drill press.  

M4 x 14mm to improve bracket strength depending on print settings / direction. 

Print PETG or PC in 4 walls w/ 25%+ infill.  Top section (encoder mount side) is designed to be “cut” and then bolted back together with the M4x14mm screws for easier printing.
