Aufbaustrahler / Ceiling Spotlight

Illuminate your space with spotlights. 

We wanted spots at home but don't have a false ceiling. So I designed this lamp to hold a spotlight and be fixed to the ceiling. 

It fits any standard spotlight with a needed hole size of 70mm. Use LEDs to ensure the lamp does not get too hot. I used these spots:

Lamp Body Dimensions: 

Diameter: 100mm
Height: 100mm
Bottom hole diameter: 70mm
Hole in ceiling plate diameter: 30mm
Screw hole diameter: 5mm
 

My print Settings:

Elegoo PLA+, 3 walls, 20% Infill, 0.15mm layer height 

With these settings and the white PLA the light shines through the body a bit. If this is not wanted I recommend at least 5 walls if you are using white PLA.
 

Installation Instructions (see pictures):

Press the mount of the spot into the body.

Mount the plate to the ceiling. 
I used standard screws and dowels to mount the plate to the ceiling. 
The holes in the plate are 5mm.  I only used two screws and it was enough. 



Let the spot hang down through the body. Screw the body onto the plate attached to the ceiling. 


 

Insert the spot into the body.
