Description
My kitchen has 3 power outlets that are shared by multiple appliance and it is a chore to identify which cables is for which appliance.
I designed this set of tags to quickly and easily identify the cables. They are very quick to print and I find them very useful. Hope you find it useful for yourself as well!
I have included the F360 file for you to customise to your own wire diameter or icons that you may like to include.
Printer:
Creality CR-10
Rafts:
No
Supports:
No
Resolution:
.32
Notes:
I used a large layer height (0.32mm) as the printing this tag is a retraction nightmare, especially for complicated icons. Large layer height can help to mitigate the flow rate of the filament which hopefully results in lesser artifacts in the print. Plus they help to speed up the print!
I also set the horizontal expansion option in Cura to -0.2mm in order to force the slicing to make a single layer thick wall. You may want to play around with that setting to get something that works for you.
Note:
22 Oct 17:
I just included another print for comparison. The one on the left is printed at 0.3mm line width, 0.12 layer height and very low retraction settings. The one on the right is the original printed at 0.5mm line width, 0.32 layer height. These prints are direct off the bed before post-processing.
