Description
When you have multiple build plates, you inevitably have the problem of where to store them to minimize contamination and the risk of damage to the plates. There are many solutions to this problem, ranging from a drawer under the printer to a tabletop holder.
I have created a holder that fits my needs. If it fits your needs too - that's great!
Main points of the model:
In theory (but I can't guarantee that), it should work with just the "6 plate holder.st*" file if printed in PLA, with lots of wall loops and some rigid dense infill (like cubic or honeycomb), but I was stupid enough to print it in PETG with 15% gyroid and only 3 walls, so when I mounted it and loaded the plates, it sagged. Not much, but enough to annoy me :)
So, being a true cheapskate, I created a fix in the form of an additional bracket instead of trying to reprint. The bracket should be printed with supports and then glued to the holder almost at the very edge of the shorter arm.
