Tea Shelf Dispenser

❗IMPORTANT❗: Print slow and follow the steps outlined for this to be successful for you. Design gaps are very small so please make sure your printer and filament are calibrated for this challenging print. Take your time gently wiggling the doors free post print. TEST PRINT 3MF FILES AVAILABLE IF YOU WANT TO TEST PRINTABILITY OF THE CRITICAL FEATURES ON YOUR PRINTER.

3 configurations available (Trio, Duo, Solo) for standard ~¾" thick shelves. Combine them to satisfy your tea organization needs based on the dead space you have available.

Medium Command Strips recommended to secure the rear tab. Painters tape is a less robust substitute that still works well for adhering the rear tab to the shelf.

Printer Nozzle Size is critical for file choice as this was parametrically designed. Thicknesses change between the nozzle size files… Please choose the 0.4 or 0.6 based on the nozzle size you have available. I recommend the 0.6mm purely for the print speed.

Inputs:

• Do not use a Prusa input shaper version- PrusaSlicer still needs some love 🙃…
• Supports: None
• Print Settings / Layer Height: 0.2mm
• Perimeter Generator: Classic
• External Perimeters First: On
• Detect Thin Walls: On

Print Disassembly:

• Use 3-Point bending to deflect the door and a small screwdriver to get the doors loose. Push down in the center and gently work the edges free.
  • If you rush and break a door, simply print a new door!

Door Installation:

• Doors must be gently deflected to get them snapped into place. Insert one side, gently bend the center of the door outwards and push the other side into place.

1/27/2024 Designer Comments:

PrusaSlicer 2.7.1 is problematic for this print in place design when using Arachne perimeter generator and/or input shaper profiles. Slicer bugs and print issues are resolved by using default (non-input shaper) profiles and the Classic perimeter generator. Issues experienced include but are not limited to:

• Seams/start/stop/end locations are very poor quality
• Tolerances prove inadequate with parts fusing together
• Occasional poor first layer quality
