AMS PTFE Guide V2

Introducing the AMS PTFE Guide V2, a purpose-built solution crafted to facilitate the seamless feeding of your AMS. This guide ensures precise filament alignment, with the ability to rotate consistently for optimal angles, effectively minimizing friction with the PTFE Tube. By doing so, it significantly reduces the likelihood of feed and pullback errors, guaranteeing a smoother operational experience.
 

About the new design V2:


This innovative design replaces the old print-in-place hinge with a rivet system, offering several advantages:

  • Enhanced LED visibility: Unlike the previous hinge, which obstructed the LED view, our new system incorporates flush rivets and e-clips, ensuring unobstructed visibility.
  • Modular printing: Our multi-part printing approach simplifies part replacement (whether due to damage or for upgrades) without the need to reprint the entire mechanism. Additionally, it enables the use of multi-color parts for added customization.
  • Improved efficiency: We've optimized the model for reduced weight and quicker printing.

     

⚠ Use PTFE tube with 4mm outer diameter

📢 Consider using this PTFE Cutter to cut the PTFE Tube to exactly 85mm.

📢 Consider using this Filament Guide to prevent entanglement caused by tight winding of the spool.

INSTALLATION:

  1. Begin by inserting the rivet from the inside, directing it outward. Apply gentle pressure to guide it through both the base and the arm. The rivet is designed with minimal play, approximately 0.1mm, ensuring a snug fit during installation.
  2. Once the rivet is in position and fully inserted into the base, secure it by installing the e-clip onto the end of the rivet.
  3. For installation within the AMS, position the base at a 45-degree angle. Start by inserting the bottom of the base and gradually rotate it vertically until it is completely inserted.
  4. To complete the installation, insert the PTFE Tube(4mm outside diameter) through the hole in the arm. Push it until it makes contact with the feeder of the AMS.

Following these steps will ensure proper installation of the AMS PTFE Guide V2.
