Description

This is a collection of shelves and legs/supports that fit together and allow you to build small custom shelving, perfect for small spaces like cabinets and small things like spices, paints, etc.

The Fusion 360 file is also provided, in case you need sizes not covered here or would like to further customize the models.

Below are some things to know when designing your custom shelves.

Shelves
  • All shelves are 72mm in depth and 8mm thick.
  • Minimum shelf width supplied is 72mm.
  • Maximum shelf width supplied is 300mm.
  • Shelf widths are provided in 5mm increments.
  • No 80mm shelf width is provided because the way I modeled it causes interference between the leg holes and would not function correctly.
Legs/Supports
  • All legs are 15mm x 15mm, but vary in height.
  • The heights supplied on the model are the “usable” height when the leg is used between two shelves. This means that if you're not using a “bottom shelf” the actual usable height on your bottom shelf will be about 4mm taller than whatever size leg you choose once you've applied the leg cap.
  • The minimum supplied leg height is 95mm.
  • The maximum supplied leg height is 100mm.

Other

  • A leg cap is supplied to pretty up the bottom of any leg that contacts the ground.
  • A connector clip is supplied that helps to keep a nice snug fit between adjacent shelves. You may find that you don't need it, depending on your situation.
Printing Notes
  • There's about .5mm of slop between the size of the holes in the shelves and the size of the connecting surface on the legs. On my P1S that was producing a really snug fit (once the parts have cooled and shrunk) that felt just about right and provided a good amount of resistance without being impossible to disassemble. Your mileage may vary.
