Description
A remix of Cat Held By Hands Wall Art by @PrintThatBoii. I thought it would make a cute coaster for my teapot so I turned it into a mold for making silicone pours. Warm kitty is happy kitty >uwu<
Instructions:
- Print the mold and process the surface (optional). A smoothable material like ABS/PVB will give you a glossy finish, a textured paint will give you interesting textures and make the coaster not cling to the teapot as much.
- Perform the first pour and let cure.
- Remove from mold and flip over.
- Prepare a small amount of secondary colour and slowly pour into the impression. Go only a little at a time and use a toothpick to spread the silicone into corners. Take your time and add only a little at a time or it will be hard to correct. Use cotton swabs to remove small droplets of silicone from unwanted areas.
If using platinum cure silicone be aware that traces of lead or tin from the nozzle could interfere with curing. Use a steel nozzle or coat the mold with paint first.
