Description
I designed this model to squeeze a bit more performance out of the Thermalright AXP90-x47 CPU cooler in the FormD T1 v2 case. The duct prevents re-circulation and ingestion of hot air into the cooler and can provide some passive cooling using the negative pressure provided by the case exhaust fans.
The duct slips over the fan's outer perimeter and stays in place with retention tabs. The fit is excellent on a Noctua NF-A9x14, but is also usable on the stock Thermalright fan. The duct should be compatible with all versions of the FormD T1 sandwich layout case.
The flared duct provides more open area to reduce pressure drop across the ventilated side panels.
The 7.2mm height fit perfectly in my case (3-slot mode), but your configuration may be slightly different. I recommend measuring the actual gap between the fan face and the side panel inside face to get the best fit. Load the 10mm version of the model into PrusaSlicer and perform a cut to shorten the overall duct height to your desired value.
