Beacon mount for Voron Afterburner

This is a mount for the Beacon 3D rev H scanner fitting the Voron 2.4's X carriage for Afterburner for the dragon hotend.

The plate is just thick enough to fit normal M3 thread inserts.

Mine was printed with bambu lab's default “strength” setting for ABS. I used glue and mouse ears to prevent it from warping.

The beacon 3D must be of the low profile kind (with the cable attaching from behind). I ordered the wrong kind so I had to replace the connector with cables connecting to the original connector (another mistake as the pins are now easily pushed out of the connector). I've routed the cables around the side/bottom of the toolhead, then attached them to the cables on the side and placed the new connector behind the cable lid on the afterburner. Make sure they don't interfere with the X-homing.

I've attached the USB cable to the filament tube and left it hanging down in front of the gantry's back.
