Description
One often stores food in glasses and in the past I had used plates to seal them. Though with my 3d printer and TPU I had the chance to create a simple lid that allows to seal off any circular thing. I often use IKEA POKAL glasses to store food and thus will be adding here the models for the respective glass sizes.
I also added the Fusion 360 file if you want to adapt the lid to your own favourite round container. You can adjust the parameters to your likings.
The following parameters can be adjusted
thickness: How thick the top layer of the lid should be, I chose 3 x layerHeight. They come out quite nicely with an 0.2 layer height on my Bambu Lab X1C standard printing profile for their TPU 95A.thicknessOverlap: the thickness of the part that’s overlapping the glassoverlap: how much the lead is overlapping with the glassdiameter: the top diameter of the glass that you seek to sealdiameterOverlapBeginning: the diameter of the glass at the beginning of the overlap. This is typically smaller than diameter to achieve some retraction of the lid, and a good seal.lipDiameter: the diameter of the lip. Note that Circle used to sketch the lip is just half exposed so this means that half of the diameters sticking out and serves as the lip. License:
